Our Story

We’re Kara and Jason, the two of us behind Awe Photography.

Kara started photography back in 2013, and what began as something small quickly grew into something much more meaningful. Not just photography, but the people we get to meet and the moments we’re trusted to capture.

Over the years, our approach has shifted in the best way. We’ve learned that the most meaningful photos aren’t the perfectly posed ones, but the ones that feel real. The in-between moments, the quiet ones, the way your day actually unfolds.

That’s what we’re drawn to now.

We work together on every wedding, which means you’re always getting both of us. Two perspectives, two people fully present, and a shared goal of documenting your day in a way that feels natural and true to you.

We’re not here to over-direct or turn your day into something it’s not. We’ll guide you when you need it, step back when you don’t, and make sure everything stays calm and organized along the way.

We also genuinely love to travel. Some of our favorite weddings and sessions have taken us to places like Seattle, Yellowstone, Key Largo, the Smoky Mountains, and Pittsburgh. Whether it’s a destination wedding or a place that holds meaning to you, we’re always excited for the opportunity to go somewhere new.
